St. Mary’s Group of Schools has opened a new school in Dubai called St. Mary’s Catholic High School Muhaisnah. The new school follows the British National Curriculum and has opened with 730 students from Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to Year 6 on August 30, 2015. The school is located in Muhaisnah 4 area of Dubai, and will expand to provide an A-level qualification over the coming years. The school facilities are state of the art, with modern classrooms, a high standard of technology, a multi-purpose auditorium/gymnasium, an outdoor soccer pitch and basketball court, and a 25 meter swimming pool.
The new school is part of St. Mary’s Group of Schools, which are owned by the Catholic Church, providing education to students in the United Arab Emirates for over 45 years. The vision of the Group is to ensure academic excellence by providing a high quality, affordable, and value based education. The five schools now in the Group provide education to over 8,000 students in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Fujairah.
St. Mary’s Group of School has developed an innovative and collaborative approach to supporting its schools, with centralized professional development and school improvement planning support services. Teachers and staff attend an annual Education Conference and participate in a collaborative Professional Development Committee to facilitate teacher development and the sharing of best practice between schools. Nominated school leaders are participating in a one year certificate program in Education Leadership provided in collaboration with Zayed University.
